The new lounges have now opened at the old location.

It is a bit confusing, because the one is the proper Novia Lounge, the other a Copenhagen Airport lounge operated by Novia. The latter is the business class lounge, with access based strictly on class of travel, not elite level. Furthermore, it is currently restricted to AF, KL, EK, GF and QR pax traveling in J or F. A Platinum or Gold card will not get you in, unless you fork over 169 Dkr (± € 22.50).

As I was traveling in Y and saw no reason to pay for access, I can't say what the new J lounge is like.

The new Novia Lounge, on the other hand, is not an improvement. It is larger, and the number of seats has been increased substantially, but at the expense of such things as side tables. There are no longer any TVs (I won't miss them!) and the number of PCs has been reduced to two, with zero privacy. One of them was not working. The one and only flight departures screen has been located in the lobby, as has the rack with newspapers. Not very convenient. Catering is on the same mediocre level as previously.

They still admit just about everybody and anybody (a zillion airline FF programs, variouc credit cards, travel agency cards, Priority Pass and anybody else willing to pay), and it shows. This being summer, there were plenty of famililies with plenty of kids filling the place up.

Interesting that lounge access for KL pax in CPH is now on the basis of class of travel, not elite status, with all Y pax regardless of status relegated to the unimpressive generic 3rd party lounge.

Edited to add that the new J lounge is called CPH Apartment (OK, how much did they a branding consultant to dream that one up?) and it is marketed under the slogan "A Less Ordinary Lounge" (Let me guess. Same consultant?).
