Not sure if that will happen, as the ticket was a PM during the first half. I was flying GM several years ago (pre-merger days) and crossed PM during a trip to West Africa. I was there for three weeks and DL.com updated my status to PM, but during my flight back, the return ticket said GM. AF wouldn't let me in the club. I called Delta for an explanation and I was told that the ticket carries the status at the time it became active.

Hopefully it has changed since then.
