CO is saying they will reimburse for lost items and interim expenses- well done CO.
However, it will be aggravating to say the least to repurchase an entire wardrobe for 2 adults and worse yet 2 small children.
Anyone have experience here? Any chance of additional compensation to make up for what will be significant inconvenience?
These things happen. I am not at all being hysterical. Just want to know what the "right" thing is.
Thanks in advance for any help!
How long has it been since you got back from your trip? I have had lost items take several days to turn up. Also, you might want to check back with your local airport for unclaimed luggage (if the tags somehow got separated from the bags).
Generally, there are limits to how much they will pay for lost luggage (current policy can be found
here on the CO website. There are also specific limits to their liability (e.g. electronics) that they will not pay for at all.
I can't speak to the reality of how hard it is to get CO to pay.
