CO is saying they will reimburse for lost items and interim expenses- well done CO.

However, it will be aggravating to say the least to repurchase an entire wardrobe for 2 adults and worse yet 2 small children.

Anyone have experience here? Any chance of additional compensation to make up for what will be significant inconvenience?

These things happen. I am not at all being hysterical. Just want to know what the "right" thing is.

Thanks in advance for any help!
You'll get the standard reimbursement as mandated in the CoC. If there was more than the standard in your bags, CO (and most other airlines) will tell you that extra baggage insurance should've been purchased.

Having said that, I imagine children's clothes are honestly not that expensive compared to adults, and CO's limit is 3,300, which is a lot.

Just document (honestly) what it would cost to replace each pax's clothing.
