I did it a couple of times last year soon after getting the card in order to allow some fairly large travel related expenditure. They seemed to get the message fairly quickly and increased the credit limit to one with some headroom. Didn't moan at me though.
did you let them know for putting money in? or you just did it all by yourself? ( I Guess this is the most important part of the entire story)
