It's worth it, but just barely. Unfortunately, ThankYou points are probably the least valuable of bank run propriety rewards programs. Worse than those ran by Chase, Capital One, US Bank, and I'm sure many others. Most programs ensure you get at least 1c of value when redeeming points. With TY points, that is not so.
With all the devaluations over the years, too, I've come to not "trust" Citi and the ThankYou points program, because you never know when they might devalue them again.
I'd pay the $75 to get the points but, unfortunately, you won't do as well, rewards wise, as you previously did with Amex.
