Why do most Residence Inns rip you off with Dog fees vs Sheratons?
Most if not every Sheraton have a few rooms designated as dog rooms with no extra fee. Residence Inn charge a fee. Sometimes this fee is unreasonable especially if you are just staying one night.
I understand there's some extra cleaning involved. But I am constantly seeing Sheraton (sometime Westin) Hotels for $135/night with no fee vs Residence Inn at $150/night + $100 dog fee. If you are staying a few nights the fee isn't bad. But for one night it's a huge increase. I have also found many Hampton Inns to have no fee.
Just saying Marriott may want to standardize dog friendlyness across the Residence Inns. I don't believe it should be more then a $25 charge or whatever cleaning in encountered.
