I was just curious why they did not divert to JAX which was the ultimate termination of 724. In my mind, they could have landed there, then gone to FLL. Of course, that would have stranded any fares waiting in FLL trying to get to JAX. Tough decisions all. FLL was a zoo when we arrived. I imagine just as many people were inconvenienced trying to leave as trying to arrive.
I remember reading on FT a few weeks ago, someone was flying to IND via Chicago (I think), but ended up diverting to IND on the Chicago-bound leg. I think he asked if he could deplane at IND, since it was his final destination, but they said no, and he ended up getting to Chicago and having to spend the night there. I forget which airline it was on.

I think it's great that WN allowed people to deplane at MCO in this situation. I think if I was headed to FLL or JAX, I would have preferred to drive a few hours from MCO, rather than deal with the schedule uncertainty from there on out.
