Switched to Alamo for most rentals and got nice cars (even got a Mustang once literally just off the boat; didn't even have the key tags yet), reasonable prices even during holiday periods and friendly service. Agree Autoslash looks like an easier way to automatically modify a car rental for the best price, but if it's steering people towards particular rental agencies, it's less attractive to me. Plus Autoslash unfortunately doesn't work in some areas served only by independents...just got an error message for CYB over Xmas.
Of course, Hertz is famous, but not as good these years. More rental companies have entered this market, so you could compare and choose the one you like best. Alamo, Priceline and there is also AutoSlash. They all supply wonderful service and the price is also very low.
