There is simply no wait (typically a few seconds, at most a minute or two) any time I call the elite line, which I do very frequently, at various times of the day. I'd say you are extremely unlucky (or calling the wrong number or not being recognised as elite - been discussed here very frequently).
BS.. used to be the case for me, but based on comments here, and my recent experiences, maybe it's YOU that's just lucky. My last 4 calls to Elite line shortest was 20 min and longest 30 which became 35 minutes.
