Clear immigration in GUM, customs in HNL. It's the same aircraft all the way to IAH, but with 2 different sets of crews. GUM based F/As going to HNL, HTA (Houston Intl based) F/As going to IAH.
I've had them change the equipment and gates at times in HNL, both coming and going. Due to the short connection time, it's sometimes meant running from one area in HNL to another, through terminal connectors with no AC. Nothing quite like arriving for your connection all hot and sweaty!
But yes, clear immigration in GUM, customs in HNL. The signs and instructions are usually clear.
