- In BKK, I stayed at the Windsor Suites Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 20, in the euphemistically named "Garden Wing", which is actually a property adjacent to the main hotel which I assume was purchased and kept at a three-star level to attract bargain hunters. For 1100 baht, a little more than I wanted to pay, you get a large but tired looking room, but you get the run of the hotel facilities next door, including 14th floor outdoor pool and health club. You also get a full buffet breakfast. It's in an OK location but the staff are great.

- I could go into detail about AC's transpacific business class service, but I'm not sure people would be interested, or believe my claims of objectivity. I will if asked, though.

[Scratcing my head...]If my memory is correct, you are one of those who asked me for a free SPG Gold card. Your handle is very particular, easier to remember. If that's the case, you surely know how to take advantage of the SPG elite status by staying at a 1100 Baht non-SPG hotel! FYI- SPG hotels in Bangkok treated elite guests like gods, well almost...

If you don't mind writing, I'd like to hear about what AC does across the Pacific these days. At the AC forum, we are taking these for granted but I have flown everybody else but AC across the Pacific these days on purpose that geez...I think I miss AC now!
