IATA definition of revalidation / reissue

Revalidation:
The authorised stamping or writing upon the Passenger Ticket evidencing that it has been officially altered by the carrier. There can be no change to origin, destination, stopover/ connecting points or fare (RBD).

Reissue:
Alteration to a ticket that cannot be done through revalidation and requires the issuance of a new ticket. Issuance of a new ticket against a previously issued ticket, in accordance with the provisions of voluntary rerouting for partly used pricing units.
