The pilot have to do divert to MCO, JAX, MLB, PBI or DAB include to FLL/MIA/PBI. This is right time where the plane must be diverted to MCO, JAX, MLB or DAB. The pilots should be responsible for that to get more fuel the plane in MCO, DAB, MLB, PBI.
Scotty,
I'm having a really hard time trying to decipher your comments/questions, but with respect to the FLL flight:
1. FLL was never offically closed--weather there at the flight's actual arrival time prohibited it (and any other flight) from landing until the weather moved or dissipated.
2. The flight (and no doubt others) held because the weather temporarily made it inadvisable to land, so they didn't, and held instead.
3. The flight did indeed divert, in this case to MCO. It didn't go MIA, MLB, or DAB since those are offline for us, and there may have been weather at those places as well. It didn't go to PBI as there may have been weather there too.
4. Weather forms wherever and whenever it chooses to, and lasts as long as it wants to. It's not within any human's control, nor can weather be forecasted with absolute accuracy.
5. Everybody involved followed the rules and did what they were supposed to do.
