The station itself has been finished for several months now, only the North Square and old station remodeling on the southern side are ongoing.

Suzhou station has a taxi "cage" on the eastern side, cabs are not allowed to pick up passengers at any other point within station limits. If the lines are too long, I normally head out into the neighbourhood, best is to walk through the rail underpass to the southern side, i.e old downtown. But not recommended if very tired and without local knowledge.

Suzhou will have a running subway within the next six months or so, btw.
