What I don't understand is that I can fly DOH-DXB-BKK, or DOH-AUH-BKK for 25% - 30% less than a DOH-BKK flight. Granted the direct option is more convenient, but for the money I rather travel another carrier with a direct option, or give business to EK or EY if the transfer is convenient.
