We're staying in Shanghai. (family of 4 with 2 small kids). For weekend daytrips, we're planning to go to Suzhou this Saturday and Hangzhou on Sunday.
We got tix on the D-train of both mornings.
Some questions:
1) We're planning to purchase tix there on the way back, since we don't know yet how much time we will spend in each city. There shouldn't be any ticket availability issues, right?
2) On arrival at Suzhou train station, is it easy to find a taxi?
3) On arrival at Hangzhou train station, easy to get taxi?
4) any recommendation on things to do or in what order?
Perhaps a bit late as you might already on your way...however, for a family of 4, it would be better to hire a car for a day for your each trip. Taxi in both cities are not easy considering you might be "spoiled" by what you are getting in SHA. Cheers.
