Yes, it does cancel the rest of the itinerary in case of a no show on the first segment - systematically. So your only option will be to change your KL itinerary if the ticket allows you to change the destination of the outbound from PEK to BKK (or ask them if they would let you change the ticket into a single PEK-wherever but that would cost an absolute bomb, more than buying a new return).
