Amazingly not in the FAQ that I could see?

Is this policy still the same - i.e. that on two different tickets, both with BA (EDI-LHR, LHR-FCO) that I can just check my bags in once and have them tagged all the way through to the end?

Reason I ask is that I had a trip to Rome booked for a few months, but now need to be in Edinburgh so hoping to not have a delayed flight, but would prefer more time in T5 rather than playing baggage pick-up
