I was recently on ATL-LAX-LAS, departing at 11a with one checked suitcase. About an hour before the flight, it was oversold. I asked about the bump and they weren't sure all the connections were going to make it. But they were going to bump me to a direct ATL-LAS that left at 11:15a. GA called over a Red Coat and he approved the bump.

I got:
Delay of only 15 min.
Rebooked into F (originally L (missed that upgrade), got me the 50% bonus miles/MQMs)
$250 Delta $ (would have been $400 had I taken a later flight)
Arrived 4hrs early (always nice to get to Vegas early. )
@Baggage Claim, I talked to the person there and they messengered my bag to The Venitian and the Bell Desk brought it to my room.
