I would almost say not sign posted the best on arrival is an understatement. When we left UK in the excitement or whatever of the trip I forgot to drop the mental breadcrumbs (a la Hansel & Gretel) on the way back I couldn't for the life of me remember where we came out, asked a few staff members and no one seemed to know, all they knew was somewhere on level 2, but when you get in the main lifts level 2 is offices, turns out it is level 2, but you have to go to zone A at check in to get there, or I went the long way round.
I did leave the mental breadcrumbs and still found it a hassle! Like you, I went to floor 2 but had no access to the car park from the lift we used, eventually I had to go back up to arrivals and go back out the exact same way we came in as it was the only way I'd know we'd find it!
If there is a better way. please let me know!
