Actually there is a rule, all european versions of LH.com will charge in the departing-country currency if it's Europe, and LH.com country currency if departure country is ex-Europe.
F.ex. Polish site for flight LHR-FRA will charge in GBP, but JFK-FRA in PLN.
Then almost all the ex-Europe LH.com will charge ALL the flights in the country currency, so US LH.com will charge all in USD, Chinese LH.com in CNY, etc.
In my experience it has always been the country where the billing address/profile is located, irrespective of the origin or the country website I use.
For example, when I was in Norway, I could not use lufthansa.co.uk if I log in using my profile - I was always redirected to lufthansa.no (and would end up paying the service fee which I don't have to pay on the UK website) and pay in NOK.
And now I have to pay in RUB as my profile has a MOW address- recently booked a ZAG-FRA-LHR o/w, ended up paying in RUB as the itin ended up getting priced in RUB.
