When it comes to feeding people into lines to approach the CBP desk clerks performing the passport control function for entry, there's been increasing segregation going on to separate US Citizens from US Permanent Residents at major commercial airports that are US ports of entry.
I'm expecting that sooner or later DHS is going to try to push to expand the application of US-VISIT system finger print procedures to include US citizens too. When that happens, I'm still not sure that will mean a permanent elimination of growing segregation hitting US persons when dealing with CBP.
