This thread made me nostalgic for the aircraft. In the late 90s/early 2000s I flew them between JFK and LHR a few times. The PTVs had games on them and I preferred them to the 777 and 767-200s that also flew the route due to that. Plus the business class cabin was really comfortable.
Then they were fun to fly between JFK and SJU/MIA. The F cabin wasn't the best but the seats were really wide and row 27 was nice if you didn't get the upgrade. I miss them

I thought I was the only one who liked these old boilers - used to fly them very often on the BOS-LHR runs. They were big, smooth and comfortable. Sort of like riding in your grandpa's Lincoln. Wouldn't win any prizes for beauty or technology, but they got the job done. The premium cabins were spacious enough for me.
