You should be fine. All of AA's flights to Tokyo are on 777s, which are, IMO, perfectly fine in coach. The legroom is decent, there are PTVs, the 2-5-2 configuration is great, and the meal service is acceptable. Had the flight been on a 767 or 757, that would be a different story, but with the 777, you have nothing to worry about IMO.
