My apologies if this is a silly question, but I have never flown Turkish Airlines before.
My employer booked me a IAD-LHR Turkish Airlines ticket through vayama and I have a reservation number & ticket number. I would like to choose my seat and if possible request a special meal for the flight.
I tried using ticket number to use the online check-in on Turkish Airlines site, but it returned a message saying that my flight (TK8694) was a codeshare operated by United Airlines & would not allow me to do anything else.
I then tried using the same ticket number + my last name to use UA's site, but their site told me the number was invalid:
We are unable to process your request, because the confirmation number you entered is invalid. Please revise your entry below.
I also tried using the confirmation code, credit card number, and email address used to purchase the ticket, but nothing worked.
Do I have to call someone to do this? I'm getting a bit worried. I wish it had not been booked through a third party, but I didn't have a choice on this occasion.
