I'm firmly in the ATM camp. If you don't feel comfortable arriving without cab fare to your hotel, then grab a little in advance. But my experience has always been that the ATM rate is the bank rate the day of. I do use an ATM which doesn't charge a forex fee (CapOne Money Market) which makes it easier, though I carry backup cards with 1% fees just in case.
