Hey everyone,

I am new to Flyertalk and looking for some advice. I live in Washington D.C and would like to fly to Israel on miles. I have 150K in AMEX Rewards. I was tempted to use BA but they charge $500 for Fuel and Taxes.

Does anyone else have experience with using a different airline? I have no frequent flyer programs. I could potentially fly from New York too.

If going to Israel is not an option, What is the best way to use my points to get to Europe?
