You will need to take a leap of faith.

I did ours after conferring with several FTers who went through the same steps ahead of me and now could add our own data points that the steps outlined did work.

But you need to be hurry as per some posts that the 75K offer expires on 7/01.

I talked to a MR rep today and he did look up our cards approval dates to make sure the eligibility. We had instant approvals last week and sent the requests via SM within hours of the approvals because we had access to AMEX SM from our SPG cards. Identical wordings in the request but got different versions on the execution of issuing the additional 50K. Furthermore, I got PMs commenting on my post about the Inconsistency of AMEX in its responses, that even the ACTUAL methodology of issuing the 50K additional points differs from what the SMs described!

So the bottom line is, chances of getting the bump up from 25K to 75K are very high, though some might have to request a few times before getting it. HOW that extra points are issued, seems to have at least 5 versions I have read / heard so far.

Given time is running out assuming the 7/01 expiration date of 75K is correct, you may want to do your app no later than tonight and hope to get an instant approval following by a SM request within hours of the approval using the info in the email AMEX sent seconds after the instant approval. A FT friend just did upon my suggestion and got instant approval so he now could follow through tonight.

My little wish is just to get some pts available before the BA 50% bonus transfer expires 7/31 so I could take advantage and move some to BA accounts.
