FWIW, I checked into the Le Méridien Bangkok the other day (Plat) and the excellent reception staff saw I had a smart phone (and they also knew I had a laptop), and they asked very nicely "Would you like another user id and password for your smartphone."

My experience has been that in every property I have stayed, if I need more than one user id and password for Platinum Internet access, all I had to do was ask; and in the case above, it was not even necessary to ask, the reception offered (amazing service!) ^^^
