Boarding pass prints with different name?!?
So - we are flying to Miami tomorrow morning for a sailing trip... booked three tickets using a companion pass voucher via the usairways mastercard (a pain in and of itself because 1) you MUST do it over the phone 2) ticket must be at least $250 3) ticket online was $268 + tax 4) ticket over the phone was $249.70, so forth and so on. I was not supposed to be charged the $25 phone ticketing fee - specifically asked and was told it did not apply to companion passes. Guess what - I got charged $75. Fought that, finally got refunded. etc. etc.) But I digress...
I have checked the reservation no less than 10 times since booking on 5/2... since I had to check it over and over for ticket #'s and conf. codes when arguing about the fee. Online - it clearly has my husband's name listed correctly...(I have a print out showing that).
I go to print the boarding passes today and my husbands name is wrong! Granted, only the middle initial is incorrect, but it does not match his passport/drivers license??! I called usairways and they told me they could not change the name on the ticket because I had already checked in! Well... the name is correct on the reservation so I would have never thought it NEEDED to be changed. I have been assured by two reps from far, far away that it is noted and documented in the system and will not be a problem; however, I am fearful that whomever I have been speaking to, is not so clear on TSA regulations and the need for the names to match.
Stressing out...
Thanks for listening and any suggestions are appreciated!
