Just as an amusing asside, for a long time Walkers 'Cheese & Onion' was their only NON-vegetarian flavour. Yes, Prawn Cocktail, Smokey Bacon, Barbequeue Rib, Chicken, etc were all actually vegetarian (and marked accordingly), however the Cheese and Onion wasnt because of the rennet.

Not sure if all the Cheese and Onion bags are now veggie but some are. I think it might still vary by production centre - yes whether a product is veggie can vary by market and, far more annoyingly - simply by production centre sometimes, so you have on the surface identical products in channel that need to be checked.

To the OP, in the UK *almost* every restraunt will cater from vegetarians, you don't need to go to a vegetarian restaurant - although there are plenty aswell.

The question is just how good their food is and how extensive their vegetarian offering.
