RBC Avion card vs. TD Travel Gold
Apologies in advance to those who think this is off topic, but it does have an AC link.
Recently I have been using Aeroplan reward
tickets for the Mrs. and the little Tractor Girls to accompany me when I am flying on revenue tickets. The recent changes to no cap. control (Elite member has to be part of reward reservation) mean that this will no longer be possible. As a result I am doing 2 things:
1. Flying with other carriers as AC has lost my loyalty.
2. Thinking of switching from my Aerogold visa to either RBC Avion or TD travel Gold - both of these cards earn points that can be redeemed with no blackouts/cap. control.
I was wondering if FT members have any thoughts on which card makes most sense. TD seems to offer more flexibility but less points / $. Any thoughts and experiences would be welcome.
