Booked on BA 26 in J this Tuesday June 28 with wife and 2,5 years daughter...We enjoyed CX First the Wing for Dinner then moved to BA/QF Flounge for a drink and some quiet.

Boarded on time...perfect so far...

Next thing, 45 degrees in the cabin due to failure of A/C...pulled back 40 min late, nothing extremely unusual...but still extremely hot. Daughter doing quite ok but the heat was really amazing. We were sitting in row 13, so also enjoying the heat from the oven of the galley between the F and CW cabins...

20 min at still on the ground just a few meters from the runway...finally Captain announced that we will get to the gate due to heating problem in the cargo section...5 dogs would have been frozen due to a failure of the heating system in that section...they were about to be frozen while we were cooking up.

We stayed about 1 hour at the gate with technicians coming in and out...still no A/C...45 degrees (no kidding). Crew was doing a great job, giving cold water and cold towels.

Finally we were all disembarked at 01h15...ground staff initially said lounge was closed but rapidly escorted CW and F passengers to the J lounge... tried to reach the Flounge but it was closed.

Sitting here with no news...one QF flight had about the same issue with the flight finally cancelled and all passengers apparently rebooked on a flight tomorrow morning.
