Boeing 737-500
Seat 11C
1045 - 1200
As I was travelling with hand luggage only and I am *A G i used BMI telephone check in. ON arrival at LBA check in was quick I was handed my boarding card and headed tot he BMI Diamond Lounge. The lounge is quite small with comy sofas and a tv in the corner of the room showing sky news. Full bar along with coffee/ tea and soft drinks, only nuts and biscuits available.
Boarding was thru gate 7 which is directly next to the lounge area, flight was only about 50% full and the seat next to me was empty. Left the gate on time for a very quick 25 minute flight, no food served and a choice of coffee, tea or OJ and a pack of biscuits. Arrived at 1120 and headed onto the heathrow express.

Fokker 100
LHR - LBA
0840 - 0935
Checked in at the Gold desk and proceeded thru security, lines dont seem to be as bad in terminal 1 at the moment. Headed to the Diamond Club lounge and went to the upper level. once again a full bar service and a nice selection of breakfast pastries.
Boarded thru gate 78 which is quite a hike from the lounge. BMI in there wisdom have replaced the 737 with a F100 on this route. flight was 90% full took off on time and again a 35 min flight time. A bacon or egg panini sandwhich was offered i choose the bacon option which was very tasty and again the tea coffee or oj offerings. Landed on at 0920 and was in the car by 0930.
The only shock was the long stay car park has a minimum charge of £25 whch for 2 days parking at a provincial car park seems very steep!!
a really non eventful flight but BMI in my opionions have moved closer to a low cost carrier than full service
