We did, and some people still do. This is what would be called our "old" style

Since the government decided to make more money out of us and charge us for a Photocard style, which you now have to have by law if you change any of your details - Name, Address, convictions etc. Like most government plans they got it wrong by making the first wave of licenses valid for 10yrs, meaning that you have to reapply for a new card and submit a new photograph as well, only they forgot to tell anyone, so those of us who got ours when they were introduced are now finding the problems. On a plus point you don't have to resit your test, though I'm sure if they thought they could make money out of it they would have considered it
