1. After I finally got through they told me I have to call e-Service hotline not the reservation hotline as I bought the ticket online

. When I called e-Service, I kept getting a recording message to tell me call back later. When I finally got through, it took 20+ min to assign seats on 2 flights
Yes, I don't understand this too and why I resisted booking tickets online with CX. It's either travel agent for me or reservation office. Booking online once and anything I needed to do ahead of time I needed to call "e-Service" and e-Service has like the most amazing wait-time of all.
2. Even I have done an online check-in before hand it took 30 min to check in at airport express station for my family of 8 with only 4 pieces of checked baggages. It's a simple bag drops and print boarding passes. I wonder how long it would take if I haven't done an OLCI before. I presented my OW Sapphire card when I checked-in (otherwise they wouldn't let me use the premium counter anyway) but the agent wasn't aware of my status. Didn't print out lounge invite (which I don't need anyway). When I asked her, she was in totally surprised and didn't know I am eligible for lounge access at all. And when she finally print out the invite after checking my card, she only gave me ONE.
Did you buy your ticket with status information already included (entered?) I have not needed to shown my cards anymore (until I am flying non-CX but trying to use CX J lounge.) CX is very good in knowing my status as long as I made sure to include my membership number as part of my booking.
3. Lounge is way too crowded at HKG
I could not agree more, both F and J are so crowded. It doesn't help that OW elites are using CX lounges even if they are not flying CX. Maybe CX should start to reject them early. Also, maybe CX should build a new CX-DM/F-pax only F lounge ala BA.
4. Boarding was in complete disarray. FAs were rude to passengers. Well some of them are really annoying but they didn't have to yell
Haven't seem them yell at pax before, but I wouldn't be surprised. However, yes, good service is not just being nice to good pax, but keep the same quality of service to even annoying pax.
5. Temperature inside the plane was waaaay too hot. Even the captain apologized for it.
Seriously, what happened to CX or HKIA in general? I can used to count on them to crank it up, now it's like it's barely comfortable (of course a particular area of pax will still complain that it's too cold and put on two blankets, amazing....)
7. Landing was a bit rough but I don't really think it's a big deal. Some passengers didn't think so and complained loudly with foul languages
Of the numerous times I flew CX I only had one bad landing experience. Compared that to every time on any NA flights. I have forgotten how exciting landing can be until I flew AA from LAX to EWR and for a brief moment I really felt on we are going to crash land or something.
By the way, I am really enjoying being especially taken care of as CX DM during flights.
