I recently had a long-term stay where I became a Diamond (63 nights) on May/3 but didn't check out of the hotel until June/17.

I thought that HHonors would backdate my Diamond bonus on the base points from the May/3 - June/17 after Gold bonus up to May/3.

However, now the HHonors rep told me too bad.

Is this true?

Worth pressing them for the 40+ extra days of Diamond compared to Gold status?
