How casual?

There's a decent sushi place on the top floors of Europa Passage. Casa de Roma is decent for Italian and Vasco de Gama for Portuguese - both near the Le Meridien.

The Pavillion overlooks the inner Alster and has decent American style food IIRC.

Theres a Hofbrauhaus, which is casual and gets a good crowd.

Eisensteins is good for Italian and pizzas.
