I know CO used to prevent CPAP usage in-flight, but their page now says:

I do not have a battery for my CPAP and I have no interest in buying one or carrying one for this trip. If I call to give Continental to give the advance notice that I have a CPAP, but will not have a battery, will they give me a hard time?

Also, if I put in a request like this, will it do anything to my automatic elite upgrade request? (I'm a Premier matched to Silver, so I am still not as familiar with the CO system.)

Like I said, I might use the CPAP, but if it is going to be a pain for whatever reason, it can just stay in my bag.

Thanks,

What are they going to do? Check the number of CPAP batteries you have at the gate? I think they just don't want to be held liable if it's something that is life or death related.
