This allows you to create a WiFi access point that shares your connection. You can then configure your Ipad/Blackberry/other notebooks and devices to connect to it.

Not sure if similar solutions currently exist for Macs.

Also read the fine print when you first log in. Often there is a WiFi code or "roaming login" quoted that you can use if you want to connect other devices / go outside your room. Do note that in some properties logging in with the WiFi code will disconnect your LAN session as they only allow one session at a time.
