Thanks, I had no idea they are now doing mutual recognition. Still, it is not an OW benefit though, only AA/IB/BA mutual recognition, which I never thought about as I have nothing to do with AA or IB.

It also does not apply to the OP as he is AA Gold and not Plat or Exec Plat.

The question is still whether the higher baggage allowance bestowed upon someone by virtue of frequent flyer status as opposed to booked cabin would carry through to other flights on the same ticket.
