1. Qatar Airways
2. Singapore Airlines
3. Asiana Airlines
4. Cathay Pacific Airways
5. Thai Airways International
6. Etihad Airways
7. Air New Zealand
8. Qantas Airways
9. Turkish Airlines
10. Emirates
Their ranking in Asia region is consistent with above:
Best Airline Asia
1 Singapore Airlines
2 Asiana Airlines
3 Cathay Pacific Airways
But the transpacific ranking is totally inconsistent. I guess they wanted to give a prize to NH and KE anyhow.
1 Cathay Pacific Airways
2 ANA All Nippon Airways
3 Korean Air
However, there are a few interesting points for CX. It has the best F class seats but is only third on overall F class product. Personally, I would agree on that point as food, wine, lounge are not top.
+1 on the joke part. Instead of revamping the Y seats, you know what needed to be done to regain world's "best" airline title.
But overall ranking doesn't need to be the same as transpacific ranking. E.g. NH could theoretically provides much better products on transpacific flights but less impressing ones on the rest of their network and therefore gets a lower overall ranking
