I checked the price of the 64GB version of last year's iPod Touch and it's only a few dollars cheaper than the UK price whereas the US version is $399 (just over £250 in the UK) and the UK price itself is £336!
It just doesn't make sense that iPod Touches are more expensive in Singapore than the US whereas iPads are a lot cheaper in Singapore than in the UK!
Fortunately, I have a friend in the US who I can have the iPod Touch shipped to (I bought last year's model from Amazon.com and she can ship it to me in the UK I paid for the P+P plus gave her a donation for her to give to a charity of her choice as a way of saying "Thanks")
I'll definitely check those places that you recommended for iPad accessories as I'm not surprised that official ones are just as expensive in Singapore as they are in the UK, in fact I'm surprised that Apple even allow companies to make third-party accessories at all for their devices!
Even if my trip won't be until November 2012, at least I know I'm going to have a good time shopping there (although I still wonder how my friends who live there manage to cope with the heat that's practically standard in the country, and as a epileptic, I know I'd have to be extra-careful. Fortunately, the fiance of one of my friends in Singapore is a police officer there, so if anything unexpected did happen in front of them, he'd know what to do!)
Once again, thanks for the advice as it will definitely be helpful when buying Apple products in Singapore!
