In this case, the travel agency booked a fare it was told about by the airline. The travel agency acted in good faith. The airline then refused to honor the ticket which it had issued through the travel agency.
Why, in your opinion, is the travel agency responsible for compensating the consumer ( purchasing a ticket out of their own pocket ) ? The airline is the responsible party here.
