That bulkhead is quite thin and hard, so if you are going to put your feet up on it, you will need to put a couple of folded blankets across the top as a cushion. Your feet would also be about 12" above your head, if you had the bed flat.
BTW, my seat shorted out on my flight from JFK last night, and I had to go find an FA to fix it for me - couldn't move it in any direction! Problem was solved quickly and efficiently.
