I'm considering booking fully refundable flights on BA to hedge my bets against a Virgin Atlantic strike.

So my question is: If I don't use fully refundable tickets on BA, will I get a refund automatically or can I apply for a refund after the flight time?

If not, how far before the flight can I cancel for a refund?
