Thanks very much the response from both MtlFire & mapleg. I'll keep an eye on my transaction at eBay, and 'll share with everyone my experience once I've got the points posted to my Aeroplan account.

Once I started doing it this way I stopped losing transactions.
Points posting is always complicated with the aeroplan store, best I can figure is that most companies seem to do it monthly. I don't buy enough, or spend enough time following it figure out each one though. But typically you shouldn't expect more than a month or so for them to post. Regardless of WHEN they post the points, remember that most (including ebay from what I've noticed) will be back dated to the original transaction date and show up in your transaction history on the purchase date and not the posting date. So if you have a lot of transactions, when it does show up, it will be several pages back and you might miss it if you are looking for something "recent".
Some stores also don't seem to allow you to combine deals. At Christmas Paypal had 10-20$ cash back deals if you paid with pay pal with both Ebay and Tiger Direct. I got both the cash back and the miles from Ebay, but with Tiger Direct using the Paypal link appeared to eliminate the Aeroplan points.
