True, but you dont have to be a BAEC member to book and fly BA.

some people dont want to be bothered with FF schemes, some people will be crediting the flight to another OW airlines FF scheme etc

So giving the option for people to select option 4 if your a BAEC member is just a way of filtering these calls i would guess.
