Flying first costs more, listing for both increased your chances of getting on.

You've been told that all UPG and revenue STBY where accomodated, but you persist in believing differntly. I recommend you look at the thread where AA insiders have posted extracts from the PALL list and see for yourself how it appears to the GA:
